Continuing Professional Development - CPD

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

What is CPD?

CPD is defined as ‘study, training, courses, seminars, reading and other activities undertaken by participating members of the ICPEM and who are recorded in ’the register’, which could reasonably be expected to advance their professional development.

The Institute of Civil Protection & Emergency Management is commenced its Members CPD scheme on January 1st 2010.

Accreditation of training

ACCREDITATION OF TRAINING

The Institute is in a position to accredit individual courses and training programmes related to civil protection and emergency management, including business continuity, offered by educational establishments and training companies.

An advantage of obtaining such accreditation is in the knowledge that prospective clients and delegates for such courses will know that the education or training being offered has been accredited by a professional institution with a worldwide reputation.
